🧪 What I'm Building

in the works…

This week, I’ve been fully focused on building a large website in collaboration with a very talented 3D designer. It’s been a major project, but also a really exciting one. I’m looking forward to sharing the final result on Instagram in the coming weeks.

Now it's time for a short break. I'll be spending the week in Ibiza, exploring the island and catching up with some friends who live there. A mix of work and play, just how I like it 🌴

🚨Big News: Canva + Claude Just Leveled Up

Design isn’t just drag and drop anymore.

Now it’s chat-and-create.

As of July 15, 2025, Canva Pro users can generate and edit designs directly inside Claude’s chat window. No tabs. No switching apps. Just talk to Claude like your new creative assistant.

What this actually looks like:

  • ✏️ Prompt a social post and Claude builds it in Canva.

  • 🖼️ Need 10 variants? Say the word.

  • 🎨 Want to resize, change brand colors, or tweak copy? Do it in chat.

All this is made possible by Anthropic’s new Model Context Protocol (MCP) a fancy way of saying Claude now “remembers” how your designs should feel, behave, and evolve.

“It’s not just about inserting AI into tools. It’s about making tools feel like conversations.” — Claude team (shown in image Dario Amodei)

Why this matters (especially for AI-first designers):

Design workflows are shifting again.
Not just away from Photoshop but away from software entirely.

We’re entering a world where:

  • You don’t open tabs.

  • You don’t drag elements.

  • You just describe what you want and AI builds it inside your creative chat timeline.

So if you’ve been juggling Canva, Notion, Figma, and a dozen tabs to get a deck out? Claude just killed context switching.

If Figma is making the canvas smarter,
Claude is making the conversation the canvas.

The best designers of 2025?
They won’t just know shortcuts in tools.

They’ll know how to prompt, iterate, and co-create with machines that actually remember what makes good design work.

🤖 Design Inspiration: A.I. Pitch Decks (in seconds)

Tool Used: Gamma
Prompt: Futuristic isometric 3D UI/UX design lab set inside a sleek, glass-like dome—1:1 ratio canvas. Centered are two advanced AI humanoids co-designing interactive website layouts projected as floating neon-lit wireframes and scrollable pages in mid-air. The AI characters wear minimalist chrome suits, with elegant gesture controls and glowing fingertips activating interface changes. Surrounding elements include curved holographic dashboards, digital sketch pads, Figma-like layouts, and HTML/CSS code blocks suspended in translucent AR windows. Background: Deep charcoal gradient with a subtle grid texture and occasional data particle trails. Lighting: ambient glow from floating interfaces, with subtle reflections on the floor. Vibe: clean, professional, inventive—representing intelligent, conversion-optimized digital design.
Tool Used: Beautiful A.I.
Prompt: Cinematic 3D rendering of a futuristic AI video editor workstation in a dark creative suite—1:1 ratio canvas. The focal point is an AI with a translucent, neural-augmented head seated at a circular holographic console editing high-res timeline sequences in mid-air. The room features floating reels, real-time facial recognition markers, color wheels, waveform audio visuals, and LUT adjustments visualized as glowing nodes. Neon RGB lighting subtly casts ambient hues. One wall displays a dramatic before/after scene color-graded by the AI (split-screen view), and another screen shows performance metrics like engagement heatmaps and watch time curves. The scene blends art and analytics, evoking speed, creativity, and precision.
Tool Used: Pitch
Prompt: 3D isometric scene of an AI-powered creative studio mid-brainstorm—1:1 ratio canvas. The AI designer, built with flowing matte ceramic plating and organic LED facepanels, is surrounded by holographic moodboards, Pantone swatches, and branding guidelines hovering in creative chaos. A large digital whiteboard glows with layered sketches: logos, typography samples, and UI cards. The AI's right hand projects vector paths, while its left sculpts 3D brand marks in real-time. Supporting items include floating Adobe app interfaces (stylized, no logos), reference imagery pinned mid-air, and a neon tagline: “Design Smarter.” The environment is soft-lit with pastel highlights, resembling a dreamy design think tank. Background: Gradient paper-textured sky with subtle sketch lines.

🛠️ Tutorial of the week: Pitch Premium Clients in Minutes (Using AI + Chronicle)

Want to close higher-paying design clients?

I made a free guide that walks you through a simple system to build a premium pitch deck in under 15 minutes even if you’re not great at sales.

Check out the video guide here

✅ Step 1: Collect the Right Info

Use a quick intake form to ask:

  • What’s your business?

  • Who’s your ideal customer?

  • What’s the biggest pain point?

  • What are your goals?

  • What’s the budget/timeline?

🧠 Step 2: Let AI Write Your Proposal

Drop that info into ChatGPT with this prompt:

Create a pitch deck for a web designer. Client is [industry]. Their current challenge is [insert]. Their goal is [insert]. Format the response into 10 sections: challenge, solution, process, portfolio, results, timeline, pricing, next steps, etc.

🎨 Step 3: Turn It Into a Premium Pitch Deck

Use Chronicle to paste your proposal → choose the Pitch template → select “Subtle Rewrite” for flow.

You get:

  • Clean layout

  • Auto slide chapters

  • Great storytelling baked in

✏️ Step 4: Customize the Design

  • Switch to dark/light mode

  • Drop in your portfolio slides

  • Embed client sites or mockups

  • Click “Remix” to generate alt designs instantly

💼 Step 5: Present With Confidence

3 quick tips to close:

  • Hold ⌘ (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) to spotlight slide elements

  • Rehearse a strong opener

  • Sell the outcome, not the asset (you’re solving revenue/brand/presence)

💡 Prompt of the week: AI-Powered Portfolio Page

Prompt: “Design a clean AI web design portfolio page for a solo designer. Include a bold hero section (‘Hi, I use AI to save founders 10+ hours/week’), 3 portfolio case study cards, a sticky CTA (‘Book Free Strategy Call’), and testimonials. Use neutral colors, smooth gradients, and a minimal sans font like Inter or Satoshi.”

Tools to Use:
→ Gamma or Typedream for quick AI portfolio builds
→ Midjourney or KREA for hero visuals
